Seoul, KR · IP · AI · Onchain infrastructure

Intellectual property built for one market, engineered for the next.

JDK Works is an advisory and build practice for rights holders, operators and founders carrying traditional IP business into AI- and blockchain-powered markets. We structure the deal, then write the code.

The gap

Most IP was structured for a market that no longer exists on its own.

What you hold

  • Catalogs and characters
  • Trademarks and territories
  • Licensing agreements
  • Brand equity

Where it has to work

  • Generative and derivative use
  • Onchain rights registries
  • Automated royalty settlement
  • Borderless distribution
One practice, both sides

Not a technology vendor bolted onto a rights business.

Rights

IP strategy & licensing

What you own, what you can license, and what a counterparty is really buying.

Systems

Applied AI

Production AI built around your material. Local-first where the catalog is sensitive.

Infrastructure

Onchain rails

Rights, royalties and settlement as software — where a ledger genuinely beats a database.

Operating

Business consulting

How the entity earns, who it partners with, what it must prove before the next raise.

From here on, the specifics

So — what does working with us actually look like?

Four stages, each a decision point you can stop at. Then the practice detail, the engagement models, and how to reach us.

Process

Diagnose, structure, build, operate.

A deliberate sequence. Each stage ends in something you can act on without us — including the decision to stop.

Stage 01

Diagnose

Rights audit, technical audit, and an honest read of market position. You get a written finding: what you own cleanly, what is contested, and where value is currently leaking.

2–3 weeks
Stage 02

Structure

Deal architecture and technical architecture designed against each other, so the contracts and the systems describe the same thing. Includes the operating model and the numbers behind it.

3–5 weeks
Stage 03

Build

We ship it. Product, contracts, registries, pipelines — implemented by the same people who designed the structure, with your team in the room throughout.

8–16 weeks
Stage 04

Operate

Hand off to your team with documentation and training, or keep us on as an operating partner running the thing we built.

Ongoing
Practice

Four capabilities, sold together or apart.

Engagements usually start in one and pull in the others. That is the point of keeping them under one roof.

Rights

IP strategy & licensing

Mapping what you actually own, what you can license, and what a counterparty is really buying — then structuring deals that survive new forms of use.

  • Portfolio and rights audit
  • Licensing and co-development structuring
  • Territory and channel strategy
  • Derivative-use and training-rights terms
Systems

Applied AI

Production AI built around your material, not a demo. We favour local-first and open-weight deployment where the catalog is sensitive and the economics matter.

  • Model selection and private inference
  • AI product and pipeline design
  • Content and localisation workflows
  • Provenance and training governance
Infrastructure

Onchain infrastructure

Rights, royalties and settlement expressed as software. Built on Base and other L2s where a public ledger genuinely improves on a database — and not where it doesn't.

  • Rights and provenance registries
  • Programmable licensing and royalty splits
  • L2 deployment and contract architecture
  • Custody and compliance posture
Operating

Business consulting

The commercial layer around all of it: how the entity makes money, who it partners with, and what it has to prove before the next raise or the next deal.

  • Market entry and go-to-market
  • Venture building and JV structuring
  • Partnership and BD strategy
  • Fundraising narrative and diligence prep
Engagement

How we work with you.

Models

  • AdvisoryMonthly retainerStanding access, board and diligence support, structured reviews.
  • ProjectFixed scope, fixed feeA defined build or deal, delivered end to end.
  • OperatingPartner engagementEquity or revenue participation. Selective, and only where we can move the outcome.

Seoul-based, working across Korean and international counterparties. Comfortable on both sides of a cross-border licensing table.

Principles

What we hold to.

Rights first

Nothing gets built on material whose ownership we haven't traced. The audit comes before the architecture, every time.

We write the code

Strategy that never becomes software is a document. We deliver working systems, and we're accountable for whether they run.

The boring answer counts

Plenty of problems are better solved with a database, a contract and a spreadsheet. We'll say so before proposing anything more elaborate.

Your data stays yours

Local-first and open-weight by default for sensitive catalogs. Your material should not become someone else's training set by accident.

Enquiries

Tell us what you own and what you're trying to do with it.

A first conversation is thirty minutes and costs nothing. If the fit isn't there, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.
